Leanne started her nursing journey in 1998 and became a Certified Nurses Assistant.  She continued her education attending Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Human Services in 2009. She also attended SUNY Empire State College in Saratoga Springs, NY, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Community and Human Services in 2014. She then attended Genesee Valley Boces for the Licensed Practical Nurse Program in Leicester, NY. She obtained clearance to take the NCLEX and was licensed by the state of NY in 2015 & also holds a license in NC.

Leanne Van Lare is the founder of WeStandStrong Staffing LLC, a nurse owned staffing agency for healthcare professionals that offer staffing assistance to healthcare facilities located in Upstate New York. 

​

A 44-yr old mother of three with a background in healthcare, she used her own personal experiences to establish a company that would offer what she felt was missing from the healthcare field. Starting out as a Certified Nurses Assistant in 1998, and now establishing her own company in 2021, she has personally experienced the reality of the healthcare industry. She realized that teamwork was almost non-exist, which ultimately was contributing to staff burnout. She recognized her fellow co-workers dissatisfaction with the lack of staff appreciation.

Her hopes for WeStandStrong’s  journey is to reestablish teamwork in healthcare while also ensuring each staff member feels they are appreciated. This in turn will minimize staff burnout and loss of talent in the industry of healthcare.
